Growing with Our Community: New Frail Care & Sub‑Acute Care Coming to CareVita Hartland in 2027
At CareVita Hartland, we believe that quality care should evolve alongside the changing needs of our residents. While many know us for our trusted and compassionate home‑based care services that support independent living, we are excited to announce a major expansion of our care offering.
Beginning April 2027, CareVita will proudly introduce Frail Care and Sub‑Acute Care at Hartland — allowing us to provide a broader range of professional healthcare services while continuing to place dignity, comfort, and independence at the centre of everything we do.
Supporting Independent Living Through Home‑Based Care
Our home‑based care service is ideal for individuals who are able to live independently but benefit from extra support. CareVita’s dedicated careworkers assist residents in the comfort of their own homes with:
Daily routines and personal care
Medication reminders
Companionship and emotional support
Activities that promote physical and mental wellbeing
Rather than reducing independence, home‑based care empowers residents to continue enjoying life confidently, knowing that help is available whenever needed.
A Community Built on Connection and Care
One of the greatest strengths of CareVita Hartland is our warm, supportive community. Here, neighbours become friends — and friends become family. Whether it’s helping with shopping, sharing a braai, or simply checking in on one another, there is a genuine culture of kindness.
Our weekly programme encourages healthy ageing and keeps residents active, engaged, and connected:
Tuesdays: Visiting GPs available on‑site for convenient medical consultations
Thursdays: Free nurse‑led clinic offering health checks and friendly support
CareVita Fit Classes: Exercise sessions every Tuesday and Thursday to promote mobility, balance, strength, and confidence
Friday Games Morning: A lively gathering filled with laughter, social connection, and the ever‑popular Rummikub
These activities strengthen community bonds while supporting physical, emotional, and cognitive wellbeing.
Holistic Wellbeing Through Trusted Partnerships
Our commitment to holistic care extends beyond daily support. CareVita partners with trusted healthcare professionals to ensure residents receive comprehensive wellbeing services:
Kind2Hearing visits every two weeks for hearing care
On‑site physiotherapist available by appointment Monthly “Smartie Talks” presented by our nurse and visiting doctors, covering topics such as: Medication management Healthy ageing Sleep and nutrition General wellbeing These sessions empower residents with valuable knowledge and create opportunities for learning and meaningful discussion. Looking Ahead: Frail Care & Sub‑Acute Care Opening April 2027 As our community grows, so does our responsibility to provide care that meets evolving needs.
